Rules
1. All Theta Fleet rules and regulations apply to this sim. All players are expected to follow them as this is a Theta Fleet sim.
2. The L-S-V rating on the USS Horizon is 2-2-2. To be specific: Language 2: Swearing is permitted, with some limitations. Sex 2: Sexual content is permitted, with some limitations. Violence 2: Violence is permitted, with some limitations. However, if you have any questions, feel free to contact a GM.
3. Please leave any drama or conflicts outside of the game. Please keep that to yourselves. However, that being said, drama between characters is allowed and it makes the writing more spicy.
4. In addition to rule #3, please also leave any out of character political talk or anything like that outside the door. This can result in arguments between players and overall division and we DO NOT want that.
5. Players are required to post at least once a month (Joint posts count). However, they are highly encouraged to post more than that. By that same token, for anyone involved in a joint post, they are requested that they answer any tags they have by the end of the week (This is determined based on the date that they were originally tagged).
6. As an extension to #5, if players are unable to be active due to real life complications, please request an ELOA or an LOA and contact a GM. Life happens and comes first and we understand. We just ask that you please refrain from going AWOL. In other words, please do not fall off the face of the Earth.
7. Players are allowed one playing character. However, they may create non-playing characters with the approval of a GM. If you are making an NPC in another player’s department, or your superior officer’s department (for junior officers), please ask first.
8. As the Horizon is in Theta Fleet’s Area 51 Task Force, we observe everything that is canon. This means that all of the “NuTrek” shows (Discovery, Picard, Lower Decks, Prodigy, Short Treks) are canon, as well as the “Roddenberry and Berman eras” (The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, and the TOS and TNG movies). All movies in the “JJ Verse”, also known as the “Kelvin Timeline” are also considered canon as they exist in an alternate timeline to the “Prime Timeline” of Star Trek. Furthermore, anything considered “Beta Canon” (Books, games, etc), are at the Game Managers’ discretion whether they are to be considered canon to the USS Horizon or not. As a general rule of thumb, the Horizon is considered located in the “Prime Timeline.” However, exploring alternate realities and other times is fun for story purposes.
9. Please use common sense. If you aren’t sure if something is, or is not allowed, either ask a GM or don’t do it.
10. Any rules that are specific to the USS Horizon alone may be subject to change. In addition, other rules may be added later.
11. If you have any questions feel free to message one of the Game Managers.
12. Have Fun!
